TODDLERS
18-36 MONTHS
Our safe, nurturing environment will provide opportunities for toddlers to explore their world, build self-esteem, and encourage curiosity.
- Communicating with Others (Language)- Rich vocabulary development, providing choices, responding to/asking questions, following simple directions.
- Building Brain Power (Cognitive)-Understanding cause and effect, identify basic color and shapes, alphabet and number recognition, counting objects, practice matching and sorting.
- Growing a Healthy Body (Physical) Support large motor development and eye-hand coordination through a variety of activities such as walking, running, climbing, kicking balls and tumbling. Provide ways to gain increased health and hygiene awareness.
- Relationship Building & Good Citizenship (Social) Making new friends, cooperative play, recognizing others’ feelings and appropriate responses.
- Identification of Feelings (Emotional), Identify and respond to emotions appropriately.
PRESCHOOL
THREE YEAR OLDS
As three year olds continue to grow, they begin to express their independence. This independence will be nurtured as they learn, explore and share.
- Communicating with Others (Language) Build alphabet recognition, beginning sounds, vocabulary expansion, develop pre-writing skills and strengthen conversation development.
- Building Brain Power (Cognitive) Following instructions, sorting, matching, categorizing, counting, number identification, patterning, and problem-solving.
- Growing a Healthy Body (Physical) Strengthen large motor skills, running, jumping, hopping, juggling, yoga and throwing/catching balls. Improve fine motor and eye-hand coordination. Increased ability to understand good health habits.
- Relationship Building & Good Citizenship (Social) Making new friends, begin to experience a sense of community using whole and small group activities to model sharing, cooperation, and kindness.
- Identification of Feelings (Emotional) Cooperative play utilizing joint projects, identifying emotions and socially appropriate responses, demonstrating caring for others and role modeling.
K-READINESS
FOUR & FIVE YEAR OLDS
Communicating with Others (Language) Build alphabet recognition, beginning sounds, vocabulary expansion, develop introductory writing skills, appreciation of reading, demonstrate reading readiness, and strengthen conversation development.
- Building Brain Power (Cognitive) Following multistep instructions, sorting, matching, categorizing, counting, number identification, patterning, beginning math skills, and problem-solving.
- Growing a Healthy Body (Physical) Support large motor development and eye-hand coordination through a variety of activities such as walking, running, climbing, kicking balls and tumbling. Provide ways to gain increased health and hygiene awareness.
- Relationship Building & Good Citizenship (Social) Making new friends, begin to experience a sense of community using whole and small group activities to model sharing, cooperation, and kindness. Demonstrates good manners.
- Identification of Feelings (Emotional) Cooperative play utilizing joint projects, identifying emotions and socially appropriate responses, demonstrating caring for others and role modeling. Can effectively express wants and needs.
